Get Ready, Get Set.

Today was a day for a little practice warm-up and sight-seeing in Larry's neck of the woods. We left his cousins  house in search of Larry's past.




After the rain stopped we went for a practice ride. The hills were not as bad as they looked however, the weather was as we rode past the powerplant and over toward  the reservoir. (Don't let the blue sky fool you)

The sun came out and we fryed. After hosing down, we met up with a pretty lady ( mom) and checked out the Herbert Hoover Library. We met some of Larry's old band friends and  they were actually pretty good guys, that's because one  was also an avid fisherman. On our ride, I got to see where every person that Larry ever knew lived, as well as every place he had a beer. Quite impressive. Had a very nice day.

We even stopped and picked up some local corn, seems like it's everywhere!.

We ended the day enjoying a nice dinner with Larry's mom and sister, it was a wonderful start as I prepared for my long rides ahead.
